FOsystem FOS3

The measuring system FOS3 is designed for isolated measurements of the temperature and quasi-stationary electrical signals in a rough electromagnetic environment. Using an optical transmission and adequate electronic design offers avoiding common problems of EMC (electromagnetic compatibility). This leads to the properties listed below, which makes this system particularly suitable for high voltage and high current laboratories including pulse-power applications:

  • Excellent insulation of the fiber optic (FO) cables of up to 100 kV
  • Reliable operation under high magnetic fields
  • Standard sheathed thermocouple such as NiCr-Ni (K) or Fe-CuNi (J)
  • Battery power supply of the sensor module for up to two years
  • Digital transmission of the measured data
  • Remote control of the battery condition
  • Analog output with a switchable range
  • Menu controlled receiver modules
  • Optionally built-in multi-channel recorder including range selection
